Default A Great Day!

Today was a winner! Two major milestones!

1 #11 moved under its own power for the first time since the the engine failure/wall contact the ended our race on 7 November - five bloody months ago!! Drove her quietly around the neighborhhod to heat cycle the engine before checking for leaks. Nothing exciting, but there were two quick squirts to check that boost was operating.

2 Commisioned and used the lift that Kurt salvaged and offered for sale. What an f'ing wonderful thing! It is far better than I thought, and makes working on the car a real pleasure. Many thanks Kurt, and please keep you eyes open for more cast-offs that are gold to us Dorki.

Before the doubters ask the question: The water you see on the floor beside the car is actually ice melt. So far, she's a dry ship

Did I say it was a great day? Friday at SP will be even better.

As to #1 . . . very nice work . . . . quite an accomplishment going from air and oil, to air, oil and water. Glad it's you and not me

As to #2 . . . . don't leave your garage unlocked.

See you Saturday for some fun in the sun (I'm eternally optimistic on track day weather).

Congrats! I too are ready. Picked up the "T" this evening with new rear wheel bearings, alignment, new brake fluid and (this is real exciting) a properly adjusted (e.g. functional) parking brake! Woo-hoo! Won't need it this weekend, but it's been f***ed up since I disassembled it last Spring.

TK:

Congrats on the re-assembly. Now that you've done it once, we'll expect the time req'd for the R&R to be halved next time (should there ever be a next time).

Have fun out there and shiny side up!

Jase
