Therein lies the problem.

To qualify up front I need to be faster than I will ever be (all kidding aside, those who race with me know I'm not a back-marker, but I'll never be a leader, either). Plus, with 2 groups, it's unlikely E will be the fastest group so even the first car in "E" won't be at the front.

Don't sell yourself short, your skills are developing nicely. Good point about the run groups, chances are even the pole E car will be behind F, G and H. I have had a radio on my list for awhile but have had to develop some other techniques in the meantime. Guesstimating has worked pretty well and I haven't been called for jumping the start yet.
