The Piloti "real" racing shoes (vs the casual stuff) are quite nice and comfortable to wear all day. They are not as thin/skinny as a traditional racing boot, but I've found mine to be fine for the LeMons stuff I've done in the past.

They don't make their FIA certified shoes in Women's sizes, but depending on her foot, a men's shoe might work.
