I am now the proud owner of the 1986 944 Turbo that was recently resurrected by TurboPooch before it had a brief relationship with Karl. My addiction started with a 1986 944 that I bought in 1997, and now here I am with a Turbo. Go figure.

Karl did a nice job of sprucing up the interior, and I don't have any plans to strip it out. But I will start the process of prepping the car for the track. It looks like Steve has the mechanicals in pretty good order, so the main thing is safety: roll bar (John), seats, harnesses (Karl included a set). Karl left a few things to tidy up: the shifter is sloppy, and the shift boot is due for replacement.

Having spent a combined total of about 13 years in a 944 and a 924S, this car seems very familiar. However, there is something different about this car than the previous two.

Hey Mark,

Nice seeing you yesterday. Congratulations on your new toy. I hope she brings you years of fun.

See you at the track

Congrats, Mark. And it wasn't a "brief" relationship with Karl - he owned it for weeks!
