But if the name were to be changed it would be something like "The Northern Virginia, Maryland and DC Porsche Club that is not affiliated with anything or anybody. We are just a bunch of guys (couple gals) who like to work and drive our cars, help others do the same, drink beer, talk smack, and try to back it up."

Try putting that in your address bar. Dorkiphus is just easier.

John, it's like the mob. "Friend of mine" vs. "Friend of ours."

Well, if you break down the name Dorkiphus....You get, Dork, which means, one who stands out in a crowd by acting odd and wears unusual clothing. Next is Iphus....Iphus is an infectious disease, similar to typhus. Thus we are guys who stand out with infectious diseases.

I believe the infectious desease we are all afflicted with is known as "Leschanderitis" Once infected, it is terminal.

Rumor has it that the infection is passed at tech sessions, and rubber gloves have not been proven effective as a deterrent. I just hope that the hitwildlifeitis and spinofftrackitis diseases that some of the Dorki have exhibited is not equally as contagious.

I have one, and I fear the other two . . . I hold you primarily responsible

I believe it’s a “genetic defect”. I have it, my brother doesn’t, could be recessive, or even progressive! It’s worst now than when I was younger!
