8:00AM is not set in stone. It's really up to you guys when you want to meet. I just threw 8:00AM that out there since that was our last meet time. You guys tell me what time you want to start and I'll include it in the 'official' post.

I just got back from running the route again to make sure I 'got it'. Much more fun in the SC Plan on 3-4 hours, start to finish.

It's beautiful out there this time of year.

How about a gentlemanly start time of 9:00 so we can break halfway for some lunch or end with a nice lunch? Some greasy, ass-widening food would be good.

9:00 ... what are we driving, banker's hours or something ?

I was the one who gave Charlie the 8 am time based on my past experiences. As us Fun Run veterens know it is pretty tough to hit the 8:30 am start time with all the bench racing and bs'ng ( ) going on, especially when some of the participants don't show until 8:30.

Don't forget, you've got to take the traffic factor into account as well. Here's a simple equation: Later start = more traffic = slower and longer run = less fun

Obviously this is only my 2 cents but now with the time change we really have an extra hour of driving in the morning plus this will be a 3 to 4 hour run so my vote would be to stick with the 8am time.

Logic...oowww...my head hurts. Okay okay, early means fun. Fun I like. I am one with 0800. I'll just have to stop at Starbucks so I can amp up.

Hmmm, maybe my strut brace and new cd player will be here before then so I can put them in...

Hey Ted, I bought 6.5" plus tweets. Are you up for a little speaker install?

Looks like I'll be alone for this ride. Was planning to bring my 16 year old son, but it'd take dynamite to get him out of bed at 7am on a weekend.

So much for my (human) cupholder...

Yep, me too. My wife thinks she will get sick because of all the turns. So, no human cup holder for me either. Gotta suck down the java before hand. I hope my crate can keep up...

Default Fun Run on Nov 1st

This is my first post everyone and my wife and I would like to go on a fun run on Sat, hopefully early in the am,, to avoid the traffic et al...

Can someone let me know exactly the specifics please. I live in Annandale close to the Beltway at the junction of 236 and 495. I would like to take a long ride,, maybe Skyline or something that puts on a few miles. I have 400 miles on my new Cabriolet and need 2000 before its considered broken in and ready for some real fun...

So, any help you can give me would be more than appreciated.

Thanks,, Novaman aka Don
