Default 914/901/902 Tranny Rebuild Clinic -- Feb 8-9, 2014 at 9AM

Hey Guys,

I have been in conversation with Mike Lesniak (Dr. Evil) and I am taking a survey to see if there is interest in participating in a rebuild clinic run by Mike to take place at my house in Elkridge, MD around mid October (final date TBD).

I can fit at least 5 more trannys on folding tables in my shop.

I pulled the below from an add in 914 World.com

"Tuition is $300 USD (if sent via PayPal then to makemy914go@yahoo.com.) Make sure to put your screen name in the message so Dr. Evil knows who you are. Gasket set $40 USD delivered, clinic only price."

"If you want your 914, 901, 902 or early 911 code (still a 901) transmission rebuilt to like new condition for cheap this is the event for you. This is a DIY clinic where the good doctor teaches and oversees your work to make sure you do it correctly. I don't think his price has changed, so look at past clinics and he has low cost SS hardware with him or you can reuse your old stuff.
If you have 2 core transmissions you can often make one good one, but the Doc has a selection good used parts with him at excellent prices. Also members swap/sell parts to each other. Everyone goes home with a fully rebuilt tranny."

As always, thanks for the input in advance,

Wow. What would it cost to attend and watch (without a transmission)? I'm a 915 guy, and have done 2 rebuilds with another Dorki, but would like to see how a pro differs.

If you want to coordinate with the ECC Oct 12th in Sterling, I'd say you'd have a guaranteed audience ... root has a great facility where he is hosting the ECC ...

Dr. K, I don't think he charges for an audience but I will check.

I don't have a 901 out, but wouldn't mind paying the standing room rate to see the show at either venues.

Hey Jason, I would love to be an attendee "fly on the wall" as well. I don't have a transmission to rebuild but have always wanted to check out the process.

I've got a 901 that would love a new set of gaskets. Count me in.
