The back story: We purchased a lightly used Volvo pre-pandemic from a little old lady for kid use. Our eldest Patrick laid claim to that car when he started a part time second job and needed transportation during the pandemic. We also purchased a used BMW during the pandemic that was ultimately pressed into service lapping the beltway for commuter duty. This left our youngest James (16) without a ride, the kitchen lady said her whip was off limits for kid duty We found a Mustang in Atlanta and “she” approved the acquisition 2001 Bullitt Mustang, 57k miles, 5 speed manual, LSD, traction control, air bags and antilock brakes - 265hp, most minivans are faster in the stoplight races

We finally found time to put this car through MSSI. It is a one time inspection when you put the car on the road, very tough inspection. Car only needs a left front headlight assembly, $65 shipped from Rock-auto, gotta love American cars.
Time to teach the boy how to drove a manual

He did this while practicing clutching in a parking lot. Two nice stripes on the tarmac. The LSD is in good shape

The one year update is not pretty
She is getting put back together. Young James is working in the food court at the mall to pay the insurance deductible and his car insurance that has gone up considerably. If you drop by the mall tip your server generously, he can use the money
