green duct tape is in the works. if it peels, i'm not fixing.
it only looks bad until it gets cold out.

Perhaps a better example is this. You could be extraordinarily smooth and take a line through a corner that generates tremendous g-forces, which makes you "feel" like you are driving fast. Later you discover that your exit speed was 85 mph and your time for that segment was 2.5 seconds. By contrast, you could be extraordinarily smooth and take a vastly different line through the same corner that generates fewer g-forces, which makes you "feel" like you are driving slower than the other line. Later you discover that your exit speed was 90 mph and your time for that segment was 2.0 seconds. Under these circumstances, your perceptions of speed can be inaccurate despite your absolute smoothness using both lines . . . .
I think I understand the point TD is trying to make, and I would tend to agree. But I don't agree with the examples given so far. Taking a tighter radius at a set speed will generate more g-force than a larger radius at the same speed. But because the longer radius line reqires the car to travel further, it takes more time, and so the higher g-force generating turn IS faster. I can't think of an example of a constant radius turn where the lesser g-force yields the faster time. So maybe, the supposition is just false.

This is the only statement with which I disagree, but I do think we are very close to complete agreement.

Your statement will be true some, or even most, of the time, but it will not necessarily be true all of the time.

Analyzing time segments is the only way to know.

For example, in some constant radius turns, it might be possible that you can maintain such a higher speed through the outside of the turn (e.g., maybe due to the particular camber of the turn) at a lower g-force than you can through the inside of the turn at a higher g-force that you overcome the disadvantage of the additional distance you must travel.

In other words, despite the longer distance traveled and the lower "perceived" g-force, you might have a higher exit speed than you did with the shorter distance traveled and the higher "perceived" g-force.

In short, the line that "feels" faster may not actually be faster . . .

I thought headaches were only relevant when trying to maximize access to g-spots, not g-sums
