Default WTB: 964 or 993 Coupe

I figured it was time to put a post up regardless of the grief that I'm going to get for it.

Looking for a "local," well-sorted, and documented 964 or 993 c2 in manual. No guards red exterior or blue interior. Looking for a DE prepared or stock car, not a track car.

Please send me a PM or post if you (or someone you know) have a 964 or 993 coupe matching my description for sale. Thank you.

Paul

Why would you get grief on a Porsche BBS for wanting to buy one of two of the best 911 models ever made?

I recommend a 944 instead. Then you'll have two Audi's.

Lane's would make a great DE car! We were seriously considering it but L did't want a cage for a couple of years....

Still it would have been a sweet DE whip!

Paul, correct me if I'm wrong, but you intend to use it as a daily driver also? In that case, see if George Williams' blue 993 is still for sale. He had it posted for sale this weekend at the track, but there was a lot of interest.

Paul,

What is the budget? Talk to Dan Patchel. http://www.carsincnj.com/ He is the track chair at Schattenbaum PCA and sells stuff. He is/was advertising several RSAs. No affiliation, just a contact. A non-sunroof RSA with LSDwould be my first choice. A LSD RSA would be my recommendation. LSD likely need to be refurbished, but at leat you have it.

Make sure you get a PPI and ask many many questions. If original, a stock 964 will need shocks, springs, and motor mounts as soon as purchased, so figure in the cost.

Good luck. Let me know if I can help. I'll be happy to sell you a race prepared 944S2 when you ready.

Do you have his contact information or know specifics on the car (i.e, price, mileage, etc.).?

didn't know he wanted to use it as a daily. that probably rules out my car then for all but the most dedicated of folks.

I've ridden in George's car at VIR after asking him to hop into my car in when I was in white. it is very nice!
