Plumb an auto blow down valve so the valve is 6 inches above the drain port. This way no water sits in the valve. Use a section flex air line between the tank and blow down valve and you are freeze proof.
Good advice. I need to figure this out too. 80 gal tank is great but takes up some space. I try to get noise down in general so if I stick it outside I still need to keep it quiet. Worst case building an insulated box around it seems like a good option. Obvious issue is keeping the heat down and maybe a snorkel to the fresh intake.

I put a switch/disconnect on the lift post, seems like a simple and cheap thing just in case.

Ready for framing to start. The second floor deck will provide shade so that the slabs have their best chance not to crack.

In this weather I hope there was some form of moist curing in place for at least the first few days after the concrete was placed, if not for at least the full first week. Also, given the geometry, hopyfully the control joints were tooled/ cut in the same day to reduce the potential for shinkage cracks at inside corners.

Anyway, it's always good to see progress like that. A day or two of framing and it will really transform.

Actually they won't pour until after that framing is done, for just the reasons you noted.

Ah, can't tell from that pic. I thought there was already concrete, but I guess that is just gravel.Hopefully you are only ~ 2 months out from being complete enough to move in.

Slow framing - its a bit complicated, to begin with, and not having a floor to build on caused some head-scratching. Then the floor system supplier sent slightly long joists, causing a delay to find a solution and make engineers happy. Situation Normal...

I used this company for the installation of a two-post lift in my garage:
http://bandrassociates.com/

I'm very happy with the work they did. I purchased a used lift and hauled it to my garage. B&R did the install and charged me about $1,200.

Good to know for installation, thanks.

More framing, and a look at the shop portion of the garage. Ceiling height should be about 11.5 feet, so I'm looking AT a Worth lift made to squeak under the ceiling (based on final, real measurement).

Got a second floor, roof trusses, and sheathing. Hopefully the plumbers and electricians can get out next week to put the conduit and piping, and we can get floors poured.
