Default i need airbag light help asap!

after piper motorsport installed my omp track seats, i was surprised that lap belt buckles "worked", meaning the light and alarm went off when buckled

however, the PWS sensor and the seat mounted side airbag fault is still an issue

i need this issue solved so i can get my stupid va safety sticker

tysons porsche would not do it

who do we know that can, and is willing to, adjust the programming so the car knows it has seats without airbags and without passenger weight sensors?

thanks

otto

ASG or Intersport can do this for you.

Otto,
On my 987 Boxster, I turned the warnings & lights off with a Durametric. I don’t know if that’s possible on a 981. But I have durametric pro if you want to give it a try.

I haven’t checked recently but last year it was not possible on a 981 with a Durametric. Also, I’m not sure whether ASG will do this service due to liability concerns. Intersport would be worth calling.

i am not sure this helps get past the va safety inspection process

they expect the light to come one when the engine is started, then go off once the system does its system test

Hey Otto - Can it be disabled with a PIWIS? If so, I might be able to help..
