Congratulation Steve! I went on very, slightly hilly ride today and thought about PMing you when I got back to found out how you did. Nice work and perseverance.

Congratulation Steve!. Remember to calculate the 1.5 times weather factor for yesterday be so hot and humid - so you did in fact complete the 62 mile ride. I was out there yesterday down at Quantico (late morning) and also used that factor. Just remember (as I do while trying to find every leaf of shade I can while drinking everything in site) that hot weather biking is great training for hot weather DE's and races. Will be testing the theory in about 3 weeks.

Well done TurboPooch. No credit for not trying and HUGE kudos for finishing with dignity intact. Ring me anytime, I'll go for a ride with yah.

We're all lightweights compared to this guy. Saw him riding on Rt. 40 just south of Harve de Grace, and we stopped at the same 7-11. He left from Toronto, through Montreal, on his way to San Fran and then down to Argentina (20,000 miles). www.nicolastorregiani.com (he's a great photographer, by the way. He gave me one of his post cards because I had treated him to a cup of coffee--really liked talking with him).
I took this photo at 55 MPH with my iPhone 6+ and can't believe it came out! This is the full frame.

I was out west on vacation last week. I saw groups of riders on the interstate shoulder decked out like that with cars whizzing by at 80mph. No thanks. I saw this guy while we were on a 65mph stretch. Again, no thanks.

We should all move to France.
That is all I've got to say about it.
