It's like a real/organized shop, impressive. I need to get to that point, along with the skills to repair like that!!!

Trust me when you like to dig the rusty bits out of old German cars you ether spend way too much time cleaning or the shop does not always look quite so clean. Start clean make a mess while making progress and then clean up at the end of the work session. YMMV

OK, here are some pictures, until I get started on it:

Here he sits next to his younger brother, my '71 911T

The engine need to be rebuild, since the car was sitting over 10 years. The engine still turns over by hand.

Most of the interior parts are in good condition

Still got the Blaupunkt Radio, which I believe could be the original

There are a few spots that need attention, and a little welding. Will see once I got all the interior removed, as well the engine and suspension.

The front suspension pan was replaced at one point and all looks clean and no rust.

More later

Hmm...l see someone has been in there before. Is the old work good enough and straight or is it coming out?

The front suspension pan looks all solid. However, some of the welds could be nicer. I may need to do some grinding, cleaning up and re-welding. Will see. It all looks straight, and the gas tank fit's OK.

Cheers
Engelbert

Congrats! I actually saw that car for sale on Craigslist/eBay and went to go look at it. Looked like a great project.
