you might want to look at the options regarding the duck tail. by itself it leaves much to be desired in taming lift and does nothing to add downforce. Some of the later tails work better than the classic duck.

I might have a GT racing duck for sale in the spring depending on what I can build for a motor cover over the winter.

All true, but I'm also pretty sure it generates the least amount of drag amoung the standard stock Carrera/SC tails. I love mine on my 3.2 Carrera, I'm not even sure if I'm going fast enough in the turns to use the added downforce of a big wing, and I sure as heck need the low drag down the long straights with the relatively low power of a 3.2 compared to the what the competition is running. It's also great beating up on those cars with the big ol' wings with my little tail.

And what the heck Dr. K??!! There's a perfectly good race car for sale in the classifieds that some dope spent way to much money on building up just for someone like you!

Looking good! I'm sure you that you already have, but if not, check the rules on the sunroof delete. I think for stock and possibly most classes, you have to have the appearance of a sunroof if the car was built with a sunroof. I was looking at doing the easy out and just riveting in a nice light sheet of aluminum, but that would deny my eligibility for certain classes. So my original sunroof, minus the 30-70 pounds (depending on who you asked) of mechanical stuff, is tacked in place and RTV run around the gap to keep it airtight.

Not that I've had the time to look at comp school, but maybe we can both figure out how to race (non-lemons style) next spring.

N00bz rule!?!

I'll have lots of questions for Donna before the body work is done...but it seems like a ridiculous rule, since a non-sunroof coupe runs in the same class, and this is actually heavier than a non-sunroof coupe.

I'm kicking myself that I didn't bring my helmet down with me, but I can always remove the seat mounting points. I think with the helmet I'll fit as well as I fit now in my Targa, and it I remove the seat rails I'll get an extra half-inch.
