Default Boxster - airbag warning light Delete

My 2000 Boxster has a MOMO steering wheel so the airbag warning light is always on and wondering if you know a way to delete the Airbag warning light. In the past, I have used a bridge-plug from Pelican parts (928 612 220 00) for my older Porsches to fool the system. does such device or solution exist for the Boxster?
Thanks
Chamilka

You should be able to turn it off w/ a piwis/durametric(pro) type tool. There is a page to enable/disable all the various airbag options/locations.

You should have said something at SP! We could have taken care of it there. I'll be out of town for a bit but would be glad to help with that when I get back in two weeks.

And congratulations on your promotion to Blue!

I just put duct tape over the light (from the inside, the gauge cluster is easy to get to). The light is led and it runs cool.

Thanks All,
I do have the diagnostic tool and could clear the code but it though it would come back again unless you trick the system to think it has an airbag.
Thanks Martin, please ping me when you get back.
Duct tape idea is creative but I need more discrete solution for the safety inspection.
Thanks

Not sure what you mean by discrete? The tape is inside the indicator light. Just cut a bigger piece of tape and press it around the hole it so no light leak out. (It's just a tiny LED inside.)

Be sure to reconnect and check before replacing the cluster.

Light needs to show when you first turn the key. Just get the computer coded correctly w/ a tool.

Should be able to fool it with a 2.8 ohm 1/4 watt resistor at the airbag plug.

update: It turns out computer will not be able to use for 2000 year model to reset/fool airbag warning light through the computer. It has to be few years newer. That really sucks. I am going to use John's idea.
