Default 1951 Chevy Truck SOLD SOLD SOLD

1951 Bone stock orig. everything. Upgraded to HEI (small body blah blah blah), 12v and a Class III hitch welded to the chassis. The engine is not orig. is from 1954 235 Full Pressure which I've put about 10K miles. I did remove the column shifter, it hit my knees and installed a 4 spd (granny) from a wrecker. The transmission is perfect. Always garaged, driven in the rain and well maintained.

Starts with a bump, straight as @#$%.

This was my daily driver for 10 years. I never finished installing windshield wipers or interior headliner/door panels because I kinda like it that way.
The hardwood bed is gorgeous and useful. The truck runs strong.

$20K takes it. No trades for leaky Harleys, no offense or fish tanks.

Thanks gents.
Using the truck as a truck taught me to not treat things as too precious. In the process I discovered how freakin' capable a 60+ year old vehicle can be.
I've literally pulled stumps, hauled all the roofing for our 2 car garage and countless loads of firewood.
TMI?

not at all. A truck is first and foremost a truck. A power tool to be used as needed but with the proper form and format. Trucks are not to be polished and primped up with silly over the top stuff.

Sad to say the one below, while fully capable* today will likely not be in service and desirable in even 20 years.

* Compared to the long serving, dependable but load lacking little red truck behind it the white one is a Beast. A load of oak firewood and a plow are shrugged off. No muss no fuss and the steep mountain road to its new home unnoticed.

LOL. You should see the horrified looks when I pull a 2 ton trailer into the Rockville Transfer Station.

One really nice aspect owing a truck like this are the folks who walk up and start telling stories about growing up with a similar vehicle.

One story related how his dad would put the truck in granny, tie the steering wheel off to the vent window vert. and set the (manual) throttle control "just right". He and dad would follow the truck as it crept along loading it with whatever! I believe him, granny with low to no throttle might only be 2 or 3 mph and lots of torque. No chance that straight 6 would stall.

Strictly a self promoting bump.
I'll get serious about selling this this Spring. Have to make room for working on the P car.
Comes with all sorts of impossible to find goodies like a deluxe heater, am radio.
Cash talks loudest.
