Fofo IAC
Having just completed a bunch of work on our 951, when we started it the cold idle was fine but when it warms up the idle settles around 2K. I did all the checks and discovered that if I plug the IAC valve it idles just fine warm. I'm guessing it has gotten lazy, gummed up or something else. I did look at it when the intake manifold was off but decided to leave it alone since it hadn't given any trouble before. I'm not really anxious to pull the intake back off to replace it if I don't truly need to. If its running fine can I leave it alone? Anyone else have any experience with this?
Thanks

When plugged in if you hear it fluttering at idle its probably wacked. Just unplug and realize if there is increased drag on the engine (A/C turned on, increased current draw on the alternator, power steering while not moving, etc) it might fall below normal idle and possibly stall. Easy to fix with the foot or just bump up the idle a few rpm to compensate.
