Default A suggestion for next year's fun runs

I'd like to suggest the we choose a meeting place and/or place to stop along the way that allows us to sit around for a bit to eat and socialize. I think it would be fun to add more to the social aspect of the event. As it stands now, the driving aspect of the fun runs is outstanding!

Regards,

How about the Bavarian Inn in Shepardstown WVA? It is only about 15 minutes from Summit Point so most locals should know about where it is. I go there often and think the food and service are first class. There are plenty of fun roads in Jeffereson (WV) and Clarke (VA) counties, I would be happy to provide some suggestions.

Hi Guys
I also recommend the Inn. Authentic German style and food. Nice twisty roads.
Best

Sounds like a good idea...I missed the last one but will certainly partake in this one.

John,

How is the 930? Alive and kicking?

Yeah! I've only been to Shepardstown once. There's this great 9-mile stretch of two-lane coming into town from the south, I believe. Goes over railroad tracks at one point. Ring any bells?

Jim - you had mentioned this to me once before and I made a note of it then. Depending on the routes I come up with for 2003 I might be able to find something different but as you know the meeting place we have used for the 1st 3 Fun Runs is extremely convenient (b/t RT28 and the Toll Road) and is located right next to a gas station. The break point we used for FR #3 did provide more of the social aspect you are looking for and I will look to do the same for future Runs.

Bud - I will catch up with you sometime to get road suggestions for WVA because we will soon be branching out into that territory!
