Default Windshield Replacement for 89 Porsche 911

All,

Looking for recommendations on a windshield installer for my 89 911 3.2 Carrera Coupe. I've tried 2 different companies already with no luck. First company broke my original windshield while re-installing it and claimed to be unable to source the right windshield for my car. They kept showing up with 964 windshields. Second company, also ordered the wrong 964 windshield and when they finally brought the correct one they cracked it during the install. I need someone who is experienced working on our cars. The car is at the body shop in Herndon, VA. Thanks in advance. Diego

Which ones have you tried because I need one too and want to know who to avoid.

I was recommended That Glass Place.

That Glass Place replaced the windshield on my '87 about 10 years ago. They did quite a few 911 windshields back then. I believe there was a father and a son, so the knowledge was going to carry on for a while.

Avoid Allstate Auto Glass in Merrifield, VA (2872 Hartland Rd, Falls Church, VA 22043) at all costs. They not only broke my windshield ( I get it... our cars are old and sh*t happens) but they also "misplaced" my windshield frame and seal setting me back and additional $350. Sadly, this place was recommended by a fellow enthusiast who will no longer use their services after my horrible experience.

Thank you for the Glass Place recommendation. I'll give them a call in the morning.

Good point! And if car is a keeper, do your homework and get the OEM glass. Lots more $$$, but important to some for resale.

I sold my new-old-stock Sekurit Carrera windshield for only $250 a couple of years ago. They're out there...
