Cage pre-inspection?
It's been at least 4-5 years since my "new" SPB was actually raced (probably more), and I'm wondering if the cage is acceptable as-is or if it will need modifications to come up to spec. And, I'd like to have it checked while I still have plenty of time to make any necessary mods.
Is anyone here willing (and at least somewhat qualified) to take a look at my cage and tell me if the cage meets current regs or what changes it might need? Or perhaps recommend someone who can check the cage? I would prefer if you could come here to inspect the car if at all possible, since the trailer is packed away for the winter. I have looked in the 2019 PCA Club Racing rules, and there's only one page on cage specifications. Based on what I've read there, I think my cage is okay, but would really like to have someone more familiar with PCA Club Racing take a look to double-check. Thanks!

Read the SCCA GCR. If it meets those it will pass anywhere. PCA only checks tube thickness and a quick visual of the welds and mount plates. Most cars I've seen fail are due to substandard seat mounting, sub belt issues, and kill switch improperly wired.

At both PCA and NASA, the only check has been tube thickness which is based on the minimum weight of the car. The last revision to cage at the PCA was the requirement for double bars on the driver side door.
Neither has checked the construction of the cage, if that is what you are asking about.

The only other thing that may have changed is where your window net mounts. The had us all move them farther forward. If you can stick your hand out the window in front the the net while strapped in you'll probably have to move your mounting point for the net.
