I'm planning on sitting on the 9x16s -- only because they'll fit so nicely on the SC/RS flares that I'll eventually put on the '72. AFAIK, the 7x16 and 9x16 are the original wheels from my 930.

well, it looks like we're up to 5 or 6 people in on this. Thanks to everyone for the interest. Since w/ a min of 5 people, the cost is already at $50 each, which is much less than getting this done at any shop, I think we can give it a go.

soon....
Hi guys. Well, according to my tracking # the roller should be arriving today.
This means that if anyone has some time this weekend we could try and play around w/ it. Chris, I hate to volunteer you like this, esp since people may have plans right before the holidays, but you offered your facilities earlier. Do you have any free time this weekend? |

What did the damage turn out to be? Do we have 5 or 6 people (or more)? I'm ready to roll a fender or two (or four). I'll be trail fitting some 16x7s on my '72.
How much rolling do you think it'll take to squeeze some 9s on the rear?

By my count, there have been five "definites" with the roller costing $250 total.
I already have the $ from Marc's lightning fast payment. I think it arrived the same day as the roller I'm collecting $50. If a 6th person jumps in I'll be either handing out $10 bills or six-packs of something cold. Your choice. |

Well gang, the "rolling party" has hit an apparent snag...
Since my car won't be back here until after X-mas, I gave the roller to Josh to give it a try. Apparently the bolt spacing/pattern will not fit our cars (the website states that it fits "most cars" ) Most, except not the important ones. I haven't seen by how much the pattern is off, so I am not sure what I'll do yet. Josh said it seems too much to be able to bore out the holes. I'll take a look at it later as well. One other option would be to weld in a bigger adapter plate with a Porsche bolt pattern drilled in it. Question is, who has, or knows someone that has a welder? Do you still want to try it or would you want a refund? |

what ever it needs Kurt can fix it, weld it , bore it or even make it better than it came from the vendor.
Maybe we can approach him with it after Christmas since I think he might have some use for it as well.

I don't have a pressing need for it but I can look at it to see what it needs. Sunday works for me. It goes without saying if I work on it I don't think you will be able to return it.
