How timely.....I was just researching this subject yesterday in preparation for getting the cycle out this long holiday weekend and putting on a few miles.... and doing 10 laps or so at Summit DE when track goes cold. Gotta get me some of this stuff!

"It will cure your asthma too." Neat except I don't have asthma - how about erectile dis-function? I don't have that either but was just curious.

I am with Turbo here - I am growing tired of the indoor trainer and need to get outside. I have been wiping the chain after each ride - Is that correct?

Rookie. Tell your friend that NFS is specifically made for low speed high pressure situations.

Yes it was! At about the 26 mile mark I had a decision to make whether to continue on the 63 mile ride or opt for the 44. Although my ego was telling me to go for it, my brain and starting to ache legs told me to play it safe and opt for the 44 at a divergence point which I did. Good thing I did...started to deal with leg cramps at the 30 something mile mark going up Bowman Hill, a 2ish mile long, what seemed to be straight up hill and had to nurse my legs back to the finish...but I finished under my own power. I talked to a guy at a stop sign with only 2 miles to go and told him this was my first one and my goal was just to finish. He looked at me puzzled and asked, couldn't you have found a flatter ride for your first one? Yeah...I guess I should have...but this was only 30 minutes away.

Amazed at the level of preparation that was evident in the organization of this ride. Very well done and plenty of monitors on motorcycles and SAG vehicles. About 1000 riders signed up and many were seasoned riders from the level of gear and high dollar bikes that were in the staging area.

High dollar bikes are just like high dollar cars at a DE. It means the person has money.
