Porsche 968 Race Car and Trailer for Sale
I'm putting feelers out to potentially sell my 1994 Porsche 968 Race Car and 2015 24ft Aluminum EZ Hauler Race Trailer. A lot has changed in my life since I got into racing, and my dreams of going back to sprint racing are looking slimmer by the day.
Car is ready to race, I wouldn't hesitate to take it racing as it sits (with new belts). Some of you probably recognize it, as it is a local car to the DMV area and was sold to me by a Potomac PCA member in 2015. It's setup for NASA GTS2 or PCA SP3. I raced it in 2016 GTS2 Season with multiple podium finishes, and it's only seen DE/Test and Tune's since then (I got into AER). Here's the basic setup: Drivetrain: unmodified 968 Motor Behe tuned for GTS2 at 216whp at 6500rpm dual oil coilers and larger radiator refurbished MAF with potentiometer 968 6 speed transaxle with LSD short shifter OEM Header Very nice custom 3" open exhaust (loud but never had any sound violation issues at VIR/Summit/Dominion) Suspension: Bilstein Cup Coilovers ground control camber plates spherical Bearings Tarrett sway bars 18x10 Alleggerita wheels (smaller wheels will not fit over brakes) 275/35/18 R7 tires (probably room for 285's without changing anything) Brakes: Working ABS from 944 (works surprisingly well for 30 year old tech) 997 GT3 Front Brakes (works with cayenne turbo S rotors) Interior/Saftey: Manual pull handle fire suppression system external kill switch Custom metal dash with easy access fuses and relays Stack Dash/Guages AFR meter Coolshirt setup Aluminum Ultrashield halo seat with back brace and slider (it's pretty wide). Window Net and Belts have expired Car/body: 2700lbs with large deep cycle battery and passenger seat painted, not wrapped vented hood for cooling no glass, all lexan windows (I do have glass windows that go in the front) Hartman Aero Wing Custom fiberglass/plywood front splitter Stock fuel tank Car was involved in a crash at turn 10 at summit point years before I acquired it that damaged the front drivers side, it appears to have been put back together well. I never had any real contact incidents in the car (knock on wood). Spares that I can think of off top of my head: sets of front and rear rotors MAF de-powered steering rack set of 993 Turbo Twist wheels (18x10 and 18x8.5) set of OZ Racing wheels (18x10 and 18x8.5) pair of enkei MT03 (18x8.5) 150lbs of ballast 5 - 5gal VPracing gas cans air compressor race ramps Bunch of tires (hoosier wets, slicks, R7's) that are getting old but also stored indoors and probably fine for testing Trailer: 2015 EZ Hauler 24' lightweight aluminum trailer (3k lbs empty) finished interior with 30amp power for front interior lights/plugs upper and lower cabinets with workbench in front lots of e-track on floor and l-track on walls for strapping things down two aluminum tireracks mounted on walls in rear driverside escape door 5k lb dual torsion axles with electric brakes setup for anti sway and load balancing hitch which will go with it (tows great with my Tundra) Everything is located in Leesburg Virginia, happy to show the car to anyone who's interested. I'm also interested in potentially going AER racing with the car, but that's not something I'm willing to tackle without committed support. If you are interested in going AER racing and want a stake in the whole equation than definitely DM me and maybe we can figure something out. I'm asking $25k for everything, and I'll even throw in the Hogdog (pitbike). I may consider selling the car separately, but can't let the trailer go until the car is gone.

This is a nice car and certainly can't be built for the asking price. A great car/package for someone who wants to get into racing with PCA SP3.

My lap times during races and qualifying from 2016 NASA GTS2 Season are still documented on Speedhive, and results are still up on the NASA Mid Atlantic website (GTS2 rules have changed, so not worth comparing those times to current times). I've made no changes to the car since 2016 and have only done a few DE/Testing weekends since (I know, it's pitiful). All of my runs were obviously in GTS2 trim for 2016, which means 135lbs of ballast, full gas tank, passenger seat, and huge deep cycle battery to get post race weight to 3080lbs. I'm no SP3 expert, but my understanding is that no major changes would be required to transition to SP3 racing. You can drop the extra weight and easily add headers and re-tune for well past 220whp SP3 (or go even further with additional modifications), so the car should be easily made faster for SP3. Recorded official lap times in the 2:11s at VIR during race/qualifying, with a personal best in the high 2:10's during testing. Recorded official lap times in the 1:22's at Summit Main, and a personal best during testing in the 1:21's. I am certainly no pro, so take these times with a grain of salt...a LOT left in it. If you compare these times with what you'll see in SP3 racing, I think you'll find the car is already setup quite well to at least be competitive....especially taking into consideration the weight and power changes you can easily make. I do plan on doing a TT at Summit Point on the weekend of Oct 31st with NASA. If anyone would like to see the car in action, that may be a good spot to do it. I have AIM data as well if anyone wants to get that serious.

I talked with the new owner who is a racer friend of mine prior to purchase. I look forward to racing against it again.

Just noticed your quote in your signature. Noel must have been throwing that thing around like a rag doll in order to spin it. It took a LOT to get that car to want to spin, haha.
