Plus, only 4 crew members including the driver allowed to work on the car. Did you see how long it took to knock off the center nut on the first tire? Crew member hit it with the hammer 24 times! In that 67 seconds, they only changed two tires, too.

seems like the answer to quickly loosening the knock-offs would have simply been "leverage." The US forever changed "knock-offs" in '68... other than the countless dogs their legislation saved they may have inadvertently reshaped tyre changes!

Default Aero vs Horsepower

While watching some of the less followed lower rungs of the Road to Indy testing ladder - specifically the 'Bimbo Bread' feeder team training in Honduras - The classic test of Aerodynamics vs. Horsepower took place.

The subdued gray of the Sauber WTF1 on the left (somewhat offset by the flamboyant livery of the test driver) masks the intricate and sophisticated slippery form highlighted by the low front nose, graceful support uprights, multiple wings/winglets, and streamlined wheels covers. They have even gone to the previously unseen extreme of removing the front right wheel entirely in order to reduce the turbulence inherent open wheel racing at the top levels.

Contrast that with the brutally straightforward approach of the pre-Adrian RB Turbo (clearly labeled on the upper side pod) that lives up to Enzo's favorite saying the 'Aero is for people that can't build engines'.

I think our cones are at least 6 inches taller than those. Would have been a penalty.

This is not new and I hope it's not a re-post, but I LOVE this coach's reaction to an opposing soccer player's "flop."
