OK, so I have to start by saying I have a bad memory, which means that I may have already introdouched myself.

I've been a member for a while and thanks to this board, I picked up a GREAT 944 in 2007 that I'm gradually turning into my track ho. I've done one GTG (Rockville) and one PCA event (Summit) and look forward to many more. I was turned on to HPDEs by the Audi Club; and like many Audi owners, I got tired of trying to make my comfortable German sedan handle like a track car; so I joined the legion of 944 owner/drivers at Audi Club events.

I'm a business attorney (21 years experience) focusing on purchase/sale/leasing of corporate aircraft, but I also provide general counsel support to smaller local companies. I am married with three little kids. Other than cars, I enjoy Sundays on the Chesapeake Bay on our boat. I'm 47 years old with no STDs that I know of. I'm Italian-American and I grew up in Westchester County NY.

Default Introduction

Hello everyone.

I have lurked here for a while but mainly hang out on the caymanclub.net forum. As you may have guessed, I own a 2007 Cayman S (The Black Pearl). I have been participating in local events (AutoX, HPDC, HPDE, FATT) since last year. I definitely have the track bug and will be attending most local events. Would like to have gone to Watkins Glenn but don't have a trailer yet. I live in Jefferson, MD, which is a short drive to Summit Point. I work for Oracle in Reston. I am married to a wonderful and understanding wife and have three good kids -- all teenagers! Other interests: playing the piano, and drinking Belgum and German beers (not necessarily at the same time). I am sure I have met some of you already and look forward seeing you at the track.

Best,
John

Hi John, and welcome to the Dorki House o' Cards.

BTW...don't let lack of a trailer stop you from going to an away event. A number of folks (myself included) are trailering otherwise street-legal and tagged cars. If a fellow Dork' happened upon some misfortune, chances are good that someone can help you get back.

And some of us drive our SCs and Carreras up--makes driving a Cayman up seem pretty comfy...
