What is the advantage or point to this?

Are you putting in the new Dawe motor before this event 2 weeks away? No pressure.

This was suggested by Peter Dawe. By reducing the oil being blown into the throttle housing you clean up the intake gasses and reduce the grease buildup on the throttle butterfly. One less thing complicating the engine. And a theoretical microscopic increase in HP by not diluting the fuel/air mixture with oil vapors....

I am hoping to install the Dawe motor before the event 2 weeks ago. I don't want to drive 4-1/2 hours to VIR and find out there's a problem on the track, nor do I want to leave it on my garage floor until after the club race...
