Couple of memorable times with Jim Clark. I was with a corner worker in the infield , not much more than straw bales in a lot of places, in a break in practise CW put a match head in a crack on the track at an apex and said watch Jimmy. Every lap, even in a drift his inside front tyre ran over it. May not have been a Grand Prix (there was a Daily Express International Trophy where most if not all F1 teams participated) but I was again in the infield when Jim coasted to a stop with a mechanical near where I was and came over waiting for the end of the session. I had already met him several times and we sat on a bale and chatted for I guess 10 minutes, mostly about farming in Scotland.
Once at the end of the day saw him and Graham Hill racing their tractor rigs (no trailers) around Silverstone.
He was very unassuming incredible driver, and in those days F1 drivers would often drive in a lot of the supporting races be it F2 or F3 plus Saloon cars(Cortinas, Jags etc) and were mostly approachable. Never did get an autograph from any of them.

I had a bit of that type of fun on the October snowy school on Saturday. T1& 2 getting to the skidpad was good for a [s]little[/s] lot of tail out silliness.

Kimi is fastest on first test day! Means nothing I know, but one can hope. At least he's not 3 secs off the pace.

I still can't bring myself to post any pics of the 2012 cars, except maybe the McLaren. They are just so brutally ugly! So here's some video from Jerez:

I used to use the one from Colin Chau Photography, but it doesn't appear to be in use anymore.

But I did find this site: http://www.f1calendar.com/

Click on the White Banner "Add these races....". Then select the Sessions you want, click "Get Calendar" and then download your version. It imported nicely to my Google calendar.
