Talked with the State trooper who investigated Jan's accident. The report has apparently been sent to the State's Attorney to see if charges can be filed against the driver of the white Monte Carlo. However it does not seem likely, as there were no witnesses who came forward who actually saw the other car cause Jan to swerve, though they did see some very aggressive driving just before, but not actually of the accident. We will have to wait and see. The investigating trooper does believe that the other car caused Jan to somehow swerve. My hope is that the driver of the car realizes what they have done to his family and many friends, and at least admits it if not to others at least to themselves.
