Autorotated into about 3-4 ft of water some 25 yards from the shore. Suspect fuel starvation (guess), 2 experienced pilots on board and looks like they did a good auto, Seems the lower parts, control linkages and whole helicopter will need to be thoroughly cleaned and inspected, may have tail rotor hit in the water, fuel system and turbine engine possibly need tear down, could be a bit expensive but she will fly again!!
By the way, I was NOT on board!!

Seem like they did a great job, I hope I could think so clearly in that situation. The water is still quite cold, this could have been a lot worse.

Have done thousands of Autorotations, three for real with no damage, couple did not work out 100% but survived!!

April fools day? Or April failures day? I left work at lunch time for the ATM down the street. As I'm exiting the building, I hear a loooong tire screech sound. A few seconds later this skids to a stop right in front of the building! Looks like ball joint came apart:
