Welcome Chris, don't worry about the Boxster trash talking, my wife drives one too.
Sorry I just couldn't pass it up

Default Thank you

Thanks for the warm welcome =). I don't mind the Boxster trashing too much; I'm hoping to get a 996 or 997 at some point in the not-so-distant future. I got it for a very decent price....and I enjoy it much more than the rice rocket I had looked at =)

Although you might get razzed a little less with a 996 or 997 than you will for the Boxster, it will not change much It is like jumping from the fire into the frying pan around here.

Now, if you were to go out and get a swb 911, everyone would go gaga

Welcome Chris. The Boxster is a great car. Probably the most bang for the buck out there right now. Just have thick skin around here and you will be fine.

One of our fellow Dorki's was razzed so much about his Boxster that he bought an older 911 and became a sway bar expert overnight.

No no. We like them. We're a weird, fickle bunch. Cayman looks like a great track car, so it gets the Dorki seal of approval.

The most important part to remember about this place is that 99% of the time WE ARE JOKING AROUND. People only joke around with those they like. On that criteria, I am adored around here.

It also helps if you can make fun of yourself.

Wadyaknow Jazzbass, I'm a Chris M. myself, haha. The Cayman does look like it would be an awesome track car. I've been doing a lot of looking at them lately, specifically one that I pass (or passes me rather) on the way to work every morning. That Carrera White just screams "buy me."

Hmm...I poke fun at random people at the grocery store sometimes. Does that make me abnormal? =P
