The same lifts, I just have to put other peoples crap on them. I hate not being able to chose what I work on.

Default Door Panels

DR wrote: "Forgot the short hood inner door panels."

Uh, nope -- those are the one-year-only 1968 (SWB long hood thus) door panels. Ask me how I know. And how long it took to find a set without Prior Owner-cut speaker holes.

BTW, there's a set of these panels on eBay right now, for reference:

My lift is a floor jack, so I have lift envy. But when you're working for Uncle Sam and moving (PCS) every 2 years on average, it's a stretch to justify the extra weight of moving a garage lift within your official moving weight allowance.

Now that's interesting! Easy to see where the later ones came from. Wonder why P didn't go with that design?

Yeah, I can just see the mover show up, you know one of those low bidding companys who show up with an old truck full of new minimum wage new hires and one dolly, that only our government would employ, address the problem.

Can you say CU.

Good thing your uncle has facilities near by that will allow you to "get high" when needed

Default Hello all

I'm new to the forum, so I figure an introduction is in order. The name's Chris. I'm 22 and finally managed to pull off an Arctic Silver 2000 Boxster a few months ago. Just looking to meet some other Boxster, and Porsche in general, owners and become more active in the community.

Welcome, Chris! Not sure how many Dorkis are in your neck of the woods -- hopefully they will come out of the woodwork and say hi.

hi Chris!

Welcome.

Don't let all the Boxster trash talk on the board scare you away.

Some of the more famous [infamous?] posters here started their p-car journey with a tiptronic boxster.
