Could have been worse... The passenger airbag could have shorted and deployed at close range killing his darling doggy. Unattended kids or dogs in a car is rarely the optimal situation... Ask any dog.

Last snow we lost a third of the mailboxes in our neighborhood. Don't know if we lost any people though.
