Another one. My grandfather and I in what would become my first car. 1979 MB 240D. I usually count the bug as my first car cause it ran. Well this ran for a couple of months, then the glow plugs went, then the fuel pump, then...well you get the idea. It was clean it was just old and stuff started to go wrong. I sold it to a Dr. in Tampa who had 4 or 5 other ones. I should have kept it and dropped a new MB motor in it.

Yeah, I think my dad had a pretty good sense of humor. He was a member and we went to clubs often in NY and in Jersey.

I will try and dig up some pictures of my fathers MGA, 356, XK 140 and Sunbeam Alpine. After that he had a succession of less interesting cars (Plymouth Valliant x2, Volvo 240 Waggon, Peugeot ?0?)
I'd doubt many care about my '83, '87, '88 or '92 Accord that my family shuttled me through in High School nor the current and late model Lexi they currently have. I just picked this up 3 weeks ago as a DD with a warranty (07 9-3 Aero). I had been looking for a 996 but realized that I don't really like them. Once I buy my first property I will try and pick up a 997 or 998 (or whatever they are making at the time). ![]() 1990 944 S2 - Sold to a friend and fellow P-car enthusiast. ![]() 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Full time 4wd and 5.2L sucks 3.30/gal gas badly, but a great vehicle. ![]() and finally, my baby. 1989 911, the last of the best. A clean unmollested example.

Here are some from back in the day.
This is my Bimmer which I took this pic soon aftered I picked it up from the German dealer, back in 85. Same Bimmer back from my second tour in Germany. Notice the BBS's are different from the first. Althought I liked the first BBS's. This is an Opel Rekord, that I had after my first Bimmer (67 1600) got messed up in an accident. This was in my first tour in Germany. Now, this 76 is not mine but it is my brothers. He took it to Germany and got it redone there. He bought it back home and soon after he got orders to Germany, I guess they came right on time for him. He still got it to this day. This is my Targa, which is a work in progress.

My previous daily was a '96 V8 GC. Had put just under 100k miles on it in a little over two years when I finally traded it in for my truck. Had about 160k on it and towed my racecar all over, including to Canada and back 3 straight summers. Great vehicle that required almost no maintenance. A/C was broken though

Here's a brief history of my interesting and somewhat interesting cars...
1993 Probe GT - not a pic of my car, but at least the right color. Great driver for a FWD car, made nice noises, not terribly fast in a straight line, but fun nonetheless. I started autoxing in this car in '98. ![]() 1997 Mitsu Eclipse GSX - This car was a beast, easily the fastest thing I've owned, and like most Mitsu's, it broke a lot. Big turbo, boost controller, lots of suspension mods. I did my first track event in this car in '02, and proceeded to sell it a few months afterward. ![]() 1991 Toyota MR-2/MR-2 Turbo - I bought an auto-x ride in 2 red MR-2's from a friend for a year. He had both a non-turbo and a turbo, and we autox'd both over the course of a season. Very interesting cars to drive, but not forgiving at all. ![]() 2001 Ford Focus - Stop laughing. I tracked a friend's Focus for a few events after selling my GSX and it's the best driving cheap econo car you can buy. I bought this car intending to make a fun track car out of it, but that idea faded when I found the next car on the list. ![]() 1991 Mazda Miata - I found this one-owner, fully documented car with a hard top and jumped on it. This was a wonderful car, and sold it to a good friend in NC who still autoxs and tracks it. Drive a 1.6l Miata for a couple of years and learn how to conserve momentum. The 2nd picture shows the 13x8 wheels I had for it - it was a big go cart with those and r-compounds. ![]() ![]() 2004 Mazda RX-8 - I got greedy for something nicer, newer, and with more power, so I had this for 15 months. Great driving car, revs to 9300, you can fit tons of tire underneath it, and 4 wheels/tires fit nicely in the back seat. I owed too much money on this car to justify keeping it as a track car. I sold it earlier this year.
