I like the comfy arm resting on the door technique along with the "i'm out of control so I'll take a hand of the wheel and grab the a-pillar" approach.

IMHO, its not the driver that's so much as fault, as the organization and/or instructor that allowed him to be out there unaccompanied. Its pretty clear he didn't have many skilz. A GT2 + nomex suit does not a racer make.

Absolutely not. NEC is pretty clear that outside installation with the potential for water contact MUST be GFI. That is clearly not a GFI power strip.
