In all seriousness, I always liked this one:
Chopard Mille Miglia Chrono

Gone but not forgotten:
'02 S6 Avant - trans blew, but rebuilt as a 6-speed by new owner
'99.5 A4 2.8QT - tree fell on it after 20 years
‘74 MB 280C - traded for paint/rust repair/6-conversion mods on the 914

just a personal opinion, but i never liked the "tire tread" patterned rubber strap. seems like it's trying too hard to be a "car guy's watch"

these have been gaining popularity in the last few years:

Wouldn't the rubber rip out your arm hairs?

LOL, wouldn't the 911 skin your knuckles?

i found that the link-type of bands rip hair a lot more efficiently.
after about a month you have a bald spot on the wrist which
puts an end to the horological epilatory suffering...

I never give blood to the Red Cross. I give it all in the garage. In fact I know just how difficult the job is going to be depending on how early in the process the injuries occur.

Totally agree. Part of the appeal of the 911 for me, is the fact that it's air-cooled, the engine is in the rear, and the cylinders are horizontally opposed - A unique configuration for sure. Plus the fact that at nearly 20 years old, a clean '87 Carrera is worth more than 95% of new cars only 5 years old.

In the watch world, I see the automatic chronographs in a similar light - they perform multiple useful functions, never require a battery (or winding), and can last for many many many years. There's a certain appeal to that, particularly in today's throw-away society full of battery-operated electronics that are obsolete and worthless in 12 months.

COSTCO sells Breitling and Rolex too. I've seen $50k engagement rings there.

Not on a Rolex scale but I purchased a Movado there a while back that was less than 1/2 of real world cost. Costco comes up with good deals from time to time but some of it is gray market.

}{ "horological epilatory suffering" LOL.
