I guess I've finally found where the local P-car discussions go on. Pari, were you in the #0 car? I think my wife had your instructor on Friday. She was a bit annoyed by his blunt instructing style, but I think she actually learned some good new stuff. Funny thing is how nice of a guy he was when not in the car.

The funniest thing from the weekend was her attempting to pass you after turn 9. I was watching from the carousel bleachers as she was closing quickly through 9, started to move to your right to pass, than had to quickly hit the brakes as the left hand coming out of the window was the pit sign, not the anticipated pass on the right sign . I asked her about it afterward and got a kick out of the fire in her eyes as she explained that she was thinking "I know who's in the instructors seat, I'll show him an aggressive pass". I guess he must have really struck a nerve with her telling her she wasn't aggressive enough in passing.

John C.

Welcome to Dorki Land!

I guess this particular "out-of-towner" instructor is getting his own ... here

Hi John, welcome to the board! Yes, that was me in the #0 car, being passed by everyone on Saturday. The communication was disappointing with him, if there even was any . I will just say that his personality in the passenger's seat conflicted with my personality and learning style. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde instructing style doesn't work for me . What car was your wife driving?

Pari,
Yes I have pictures. I will show you just as soon as I figure out how to build a gallery. I don't see the "1.2) Create an album for yourself by clicking new album top left -ish" yet.

Rob, that's a great looking 914-6 you have there. Is it an original 914-6 or a conversion, not that it matters? I love the widebody look .

John, beautiful 944. Your wife was driving it pretty aggressive from what I remember . I prefer the look of the mid 80's FEWC's.

Cool, what are the details on mods/upgrades? Do you have a 3.2L in the 914? A real good friend of mine is doing a 914-6 conversion to his 1973 and putting a 3.2 in it. He is currently in the process of welding on wider flares. The 914 widebody look is sharp 8) , I lust for one of those someday.

Last weekend it had a 2.4 liter “T” engine in it that we just finished rebuilding and is destined for my father’s 72 911T. I built the car to run SCCA “E” production which requires a little 2.0l six. We have several 2.0l motors at the house that are hopefully going to morph into one running motor before spring.
