John. I see you've come back to earth. Were not meant to have clean floors. I'm glad you posted as there are a lot of good suggestions.

This never came up the first time the thread started.... is it possible or OK to do half the floor and then do half the floor later? I don't care about the seam in the middle of the floor where the two halves should meet, just that I have a lot of stuff (tools and other whatnot) I would rather not leave in the driveway for a week. I'd rather shift it all from side to side rather than take it all out and find another place for it.
And does it really take a week Maybe one of those on-site PODS is my solution....

Nah, it won't matter whether you paint half at a time or all of it at time. You'll just have to put up with the inconvenience of doing one half at a time. And, yes, the cure time is pretty long, the longer the better. I think I let mine cure for at least 4 days. Might've been longer.

I just called PODS and having one of those things sit in the driveway for a week is like $200. Money I could be spending on the car. I guess I'll do it 1/2 and 1/2. Ug.

FWIW, when i painted my floor, i just moved everything out into the driveway early in the morning (on a predictably nice day) and covered it with a tarp; then painted the floor and when the floor had dried sufficiently to walk on (i remember it being the next day), i moved the stuff back in. I did keep cars off the floor for 4-5 days as I recall; might have been longer. And even then, i put old carpet scraps down on which the tires sat. I've had no problem with the paint lifting; it's been several years.

OK, Instead of doing the fun run, I did this on Saturday. Worthwhile project, except the cars are still in the driveway.
I used the tan Rustoleum kit. FWIW. A couple of tips should anyone search this... Tips: 1. Get a squeejee like they recommend. I used a broom, leaf blower and big fan to get all of the water out and dry the concrete. The squeejee would have saved me considerable time in getting all of the dirt out. You have no idea how dirty your concrete is until you try and clean it. Wow. 2. Lay it on thick. I bought 2 kits. The gallon can only fills up about 90% once the stuff is mixed. I started rolling and laid it down too conservatively in one corner. I couldn't get back to that corner to fix it obviously, so it's a little thin in that spot. It's under the shelving, so I guess it will be alright. 3. Get someone to help you move your stuff and then treat them to a nice drive in the car afterwards. I did it alone and I can't walk today 4. Rather than watching the paint dry, go for a nice ride on some backroads. Makes the job worthwhile. Well any job really.

It's been 2 1/2 years and the stuff is pulling up on the side where I park my daily driver (where the tires are). Other than that, I really like it. It makes spills easy to wipe up and clean. With the break in the weather, I need to wash off all the salt that's been tracked in...I usually just mop it out.
