I wish I could say the PCA was the trailblazer for extended passing but we weren't. Others were already doing it before we started. We studied it, tried it out with a handful of regions (Potomac was one of the regions) and then weighed the risk management aspect. In the end, it was helpful to regions who hosted DE's in many ways and not the 'safety nightmare' a few folks had warned us that it would turn into.

I've driven with several different pca regiond, scca, track daze, David murray, etc.....

Manny, all the improvements I've seen in pca have been leaps and bounds ahead of the curve....potomac is a very lucky region, it's volunteers and members have one of the best programs I've run with........changes in the classroom, instructors etc,

unlike the accusations In the article...unless he was part of the decisions and has knowledge i dont.......if old worker is one and the same.......why are you acting like your not the one protesting about the current program which in think was great 10 years ago and is even better now with improvement coming all the time

Yes accidents happen, are they happening more often or with the Internet don we just hear about them more often?
I don't know but in wouldn't be suprised

notton.......I wish I had to ur vocabulary

This, please/ thread. I have instructed in a few groups over the the many years and PCA and Potomac have addressed weakness in the\ system with good consistency

One thing we all have to remember--before we get on track we sign a waiver and it states (in large enough type to be readable by anyone).

5. HEREBY acknowledge that THE ACTIVITIES OF THE EVENTS ARE VERY DANGEROUS and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage.

If an attendee doesn't agree with this statement they have the option to not sign the waiver and immediately leave the event. As a PCA HPDE registrar I will gladly refund their money.

Scott

Do we want to deflect $ damage or make the sport safer?
