What is really weird is that when the car/body was redone by the previous owner, brother, he knew that there was a bunch of bondo on the rear left fender and actually replaced the rear hood due to the amount of bondo in it. He had no idea that the car had been hit in the front. I knew that it had be repaired but not to the extent that Scott has found. I guess nothing is surprising in a 43 year car. Steve

Little more done. bunch of hammer and dolly work, followed by some shrinking disk work, a couple of relief cuts as the previous damage was pretty f-ed up and had the metal really stretched out.

I'm out of town for a couple days, but should be able to get the front panel welded in by the end of the weekend, then I need to hold off for a week or two and work on Nathans car and an Austin Healey that has been in wait.

Shop shot of the day at the end, the flying eleben's

Got most all of the red off, and found a nice heavy coat of high build under it so got to long blocking it. Steve's car will be far straighter then it was before

If any one has a NICE drivers door, please let Steve or I know. His can be fixed, but it may not be cost effective if we can find a nice one with little or no repair needed

Scott, wow, I guess you never know what lies under the veneer of paint. Boy, we are sure finding out. Kind of makes my stomach feel a little queasy. I guess we have all been there whether it is the rust or blown motor. Steve
