Welcome aboard!!! I will be instructing with Audi at VIR in April and would be happy to get you acquainted with the track if you are not yet so. Have you been to the track before?

Thanks Scott. I work in DC, but if I ever make it back to Herndon at a decent hour, maybe I'll spot ya. Definitely planning on going to the track.

This is intended to be a reply to BillJ (as you can see, I'm still not familiar with the thread). Hi there - the only time I've been was in April 2006 with the Audi club. I had taken my allroad there, and had KJ as my instructor. I had the opportunity to go for a ride in his 996, and it was then that I knew that I wanted to track a Porsche instead of my boat.

I would love to meet up with you, and perhaps have you instruct me for a session? That is, if you're not already booked. I've requested KJ again, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind sitting out a session.

Would love to rife right seat for a session if they permit that sort of thing. KJ is a great driver and instructor! I may be tacking the 2.7TT out for a couple laps, seeing as I will be there and all already, and depending on the rules (this will be my first event with them) definitely could have you ride along with me. I will be taking it easy seeing as I was used to a car that weighed under 2000 lbs. This one is a little heavier VIR is probably my favorite track based on the elevation changes, condition, facilities, rythm, etc - it really has it all.

Sounds great, Bill. I like VIR because it has a lot of run-off space. Looking forward to meeting you.

But people still manage to find that tire wall to the left of South Bend (turn 10), even though they go off to the right...
