i used to snap my neck and look for the car (whichever it was that was making a nice sound) but after a while, since they were *everywhere* you turned, i just started to enjoy the sound and not bother craning my neck.... a block later i'd come across another exotic.... it's weird how quickly you can get used to it.... the Mac SLR was a non-event. It just rolled quietly along... even a CGT didn't make me gasp. maybe b/c I just saw a red one at SP, or maybe b/c it was silver (not very outlandish)

I did enjoy seeing an F-40 pull to a nightclub... he gave it to a valet!!!

Those mid-engine Renaults are cool. I doubt we'll ever get it here though. Even if we did, it would be in the Elise price range. I still would love to own an R5GT turbo car. What fun!

(BTW, I hear the Exige is coming here)

Oh great Now I HAVE to go to the USGP. Anyone else going? Can't beat it. Parking (aka camping spot) for $50 and ticket are, I think, $65. Include gas and goodies ~ -$500 for the weekend. Not bad, eh?

that's definitely a good deal. I've never been to Indy but I hear that since it's entirely w/in the oval, it's the only GP track that *can* be seen in its entirety. You could actually follow the action around the whole damn place. Not sure whether every seat will give you that view, but it's pretty cool if you're following a 3- or 4-way battle.

I remember someone on Pelican going last year. You could ask around to see what's the good spot to watch.

Yes, and the women of the midwest can definitely give the ladies of Monaco a run for their money, not to mention the outstanding nightlife!

Only, I think the cow tipping he was speaking of was the "mid-waest" hotties in the local pubs

One of the big reasons I'm going is the thursday morning paddock access. Oh to pretend being an F1 insider/spy!!
