At Falls Church Home Depot on Saturday afternoon....I don't know the difference between a real one and a replica, but the tags said 1955.

Just knock (gently!) on one of the fenders. steel = real. fiberglass = replica.

One way to spot the difference: replica spyder is $30K. Genuine spyder is $300K

Most replica spyders (like replica cobras) get "taged" dated the same year they were last available. Lots of "65 cobras" out there.. just like lots of "55" spyders.

It’s the real deal. I saw it at the Deutsche Marque (Nottoway Park) a few times.

Really? unless it is your car...keep your hands off it! Sorry, but i am very tired of people banging on the fenders of my RSR to see if it is "real/metal" or fiberglass!!!

just look, it is really easy to tell the difference.

Driving next to a white 944 NA in my white 944 NA on I495 east this morning in traffic. It's good to see mine isn't the only one that commutes.
