Sorry for not including that - I am Bill! We've been in the area now for 15 years. Where did that time go!

Don't spend too much time talking with JD. He came out to HPDC a about 2 years ago, and by this summer his 991 was no longer really steerable...

That's cuz JD went from Green Group to Black in two years. Definitely a student of the game.

Hello all,

Joined the forum primarily to support Joep (screen name) to answer any questions and provide support for the PCA Founders Region Cayenne & Macan drive and dine ride off road to Flagpole this November.

I grew up riding in my Dads 356C (brought home from the hospital in it) and have always been involved in some form of motor sports. Watching my Dad race in the 60's and then I autocrossed, corner worked or crewed on production, GT, and Formula cars (Super Vee, Atlantic) and then finally ended up being a crew chief on a Formula Atlantic team in the 90's. I did wind tunnel testing on Outlaw Sprint Cars (talk about culture shock) followed by wing and body panel design (I am an aerospace engineer). For the past 12 years I have been an avid off road driver and instructor (I love teaching probably more than driving) for the Northern Virginia Jeepers Association. I also have done some engine building and developmental flow bench (built my own) testing for an ITA Team on cylinder heads, intakes and carbs. All legal of course. I am a decent fabricator and build my own suspensions and chassis reinforcements (skid plate etc for off road) but I leave cage welding to experts.

Joep has been a really bad influence on me. It took my wife about 10 years to get the road race bug out of my system and Joep has brought it all back. I have always enjoyed crewing or crew chiefing and spending someone else's money. Now it looks like I will soon start spending my own on yet another toy.

Cars are:
94 Jeep XJ (Cherokee) rock crawler
66 Rambler American (resto mod with stroker 6, 4 wheel discs, 5spd, hydro boost)
98 TJ (Daughters ride)
01 Altima (the commuter beater)
12 Escape (wifes ride)

Welcome! We wives - even the ones that don't drive regularly like me - have a great time with this crew! Maybe this is HER time too...
