Dude....it happens. Do this long enough and the track time all evens out.

Many PCA regions will not allow GT3's on track unless this issue is fixed with this procedure or by replacing the epoxied pipes with the threaded motorsport version for this very reason. We had this same problem last year in T3 and I almost collided with a Cup car when we both went spinning off simultaneously into the gravel from hitting antifreeze from a busted pipe GT3. I would like to see our techs adopt this requirement before somebody gets hurt. It is a widely known problem with a simple fix that I would think anyone that owns one of these cars would voluntarily have fixed for their own safety as well as others.

As I understand it, all GT1 motors (turbo, GT3, GT2, 996 or 997) have this concern. Cup cars have threaded connections.

This is correct, any GT1 based motors have the glued fittings and could pop at anytime, if not welded or pinned.

Might help to just put distilled water in the cooling system for a track dedicated car and empty it at the end of the season before any freeze risk occurs. Not sure if this is true but I was told that water alone is a more effective coolant than when mixed with antifreeze...

Anyone that has gone through the effort of getting the air out of one of those systems will weld or pin. Not your fathers Buick

I've done mine twice on the Cayman without any special equipment or assistance. I just had the front end as low as possible and the rear up high, popped the bleeder valve and It filled nicely. I did have to add about a quart after a cycle of driving to op temp and cooling. Of course, I would imagine the plumbing on a cayman is a few feet shorter than that of a 911 because of engine layout and may be easier burp for that reason.
