There are few passing zones shorter than 5-6 at Summit Point, left turn-to-right turn, and it works out fine.

Rather be at the track in bad weather than home dealing with this.

Another great weekend. Even with a questionable start with only being able to use half the track, Sunday made up for everything. Pitt race is an amazing track and is easily in my top 3 favorite tracks that I've been to and can't wait for the clubrace there in October. Also the kart track is top notch stuff
Shout out to fumes for letting me take his car out for a go and learning the dark side of the cayman world

I'm actually thinking more about White and Blue and the specific problem I cited. I'm not sure how the proposed rules will affect that.

What follows T6? My problem with passing on the right at T16 at PittRace is not so much the distance between T15 & T16 as the amount of space after T16. With more space I don't think it would be a problem.

At Summit, turn 6 is very wide allowing 5-6 passes to be safely completed between 6 and 7. Actually, turn 17-18 at Pitt is quite similar, except for all the water.

I don't think I'm getting my point across. It isn't passing between T15 and T16 that bothers me. Heck, I've run with groups that passed between T14 and T15, which is shorter. The thing is what happens AFTER a pass into T15 or T16.
In the first case you have a long straight and plenty of room to get everything stabilized. In the second case you are off-line and immediately into a braking zone for T17; it works but not optimally. Passing into T17, if allowed, is sort of in between. I've never passed there so I'm not sure exactly how it would work. It looks like the point by would be pretty much perfect and there is no braking at the top of the hill so I can't see any problems. Actually, I might be more comfortable passing there than into T16.

As a student driver, I don't like the pass between 15 and 16 on the right. I think it can be fine, but it could also lead to disaster (with less experienced drivers) for so many reasons. Seems much safer to me to give the point by during the track out from 15 and on the left; then the car that was just passed tucks in right behind. Less lifting/slowing for both cars and more room for both. But then the "passing rules" are inconsistent. . . .
