Great video. I wish they let you drive the 'new' part of the 'ring, that would be a hoot. Funny as I've played GT4 a bunch lately and I've just about got the 'ring memorized.

We really need to help poor Doug maintain some level of interest in this trip to Germany, so its time for another instructive tour of the Ring.


Everyone seemed to enjoy Herr Stuck, so now its time for a change of pace.

This time, we are joining an amateur driver, who is actually filming with a hand-held camera from the passenger seat while his professional guide [well known BMW Rind expert Dan Tackett] takes him for a fast lap. Most of the excitment comes from the boy from New Jersey, and is an indication of the fun people Doug will be meeting at the 'Ring this May.

I'm guessing you are busy preparing for the trip - packing, checking, getting antsy, loading LOTS of video tape [better be!], and getting ready to go!

Will be thinking about you tearing up the 'Ring while us lowly types are circulating at Summit Point.

Don't forget to watch the video I posted at the bottom of the first page of this thread, if you haven't seen it already. Its a hoot, adn will give you some idea of what to watch out for on the 'Ring.

Have a GREAT trip, and stay safe. We are looking forward to a full report with pics and videos when you return.

Just about ready ... all I have to do now is pack. The camera's will go in the bag right after the helmet, driving shoes and gloves

Hope you all have a great time this weekend at SP. I'll be thinking about you all and will give a shout out to my Dorki brothers as I round the first turn on my first lap at the 'Ring.
