We have a running joke that all the cars are "mine" and I just allow her to drive them. It's too bad I can't try out both cars in one day.

Janet & I did our first HPDC together - she ran Saturday, I ran Sunday.

At the time, we were thinking that we would do DE together as well. She decided that ir was not for her, depite doing pretty well at the HPDC. Given the way things turned out [read - addiction] its a good thing Janet stayed sane but still encourages [with some reservations at times] my habit.

Don't think I'd like to support two track habits

Supporting two track beasts does get expensive but it also has it's rewards. When one of them breaks you always have a "backup".

Arf is going to make the trip. I am confused about pricing, however. I filled out the form on the Chesapeake board and sent a check for $185 and then I get a email telling me it is $175. Ten buck is ten bucks and when you own a old Porsche a couple of those can add up to a part or two. I'm looking to have a good time, hope the weather holds.

I'm going up to the HPDC, too. My first PCA event / activity with my 911.
Lookin forward to meeting you folks. Is evryone just sort of showing up,
or is there a pod traveling up together?

Emory:

The arrival time is set for 7:00 a.m. (almost positive). That makes for a very early departure from DC Metro area. Unless you are like Jim R. Marc, or Doug E. who all seem to get to the track REALLY early.

Remember to bring a tarp (I usually bring a rubber tote) to keep your stuff dry and a helmet if you aren't renting one from OG. Pretty sure arrangements have to be made ahead of time to rent one and I don't think they'll have them at the track. (others can chime in with more specifics). Check the Chesapeake site or the link above for details.

Don't know about a pod heading that way but, I'll be leaving Falls Church around 5:45 a.m. I am just off 50 near FC high school / Providence rec. center.

Looking forward to a great day on the track.

Jason

Has anyone received an email from Chesapeake regarding the official start time? Instructors? Their website link hasn't changed for a while.

Jason, I'll drop a note mid week and let you know if my
departure here will get me into the FC area around your departure.

If it rains, are these events still held? I'm wondering if this
damn storm may end up here at the end of the week...

My cell is 240 876-1305. I'll be leaving Kensington around 5:00 or
so, as I figure the weather may slow me down on the way up
and it is my first trip up so I'll likely be slower anyway. If anyone else
is on the road, give me a call and I can possibly adjust my
speed to end up on the same stretch of road.

We will be racing over the fence at the NASA event on Summit Main.

Saturday & Sunday Schedule:
10:05 AM 10:25 AM 944 Cup Practice
1:25 PM 1:45 PM 944 Cup Qualifying
4:40 PM 5:05 PM 944 Cup Race

If its raining, look for me spinning out of 9 - could well wind up somewhere on the Jefferson if I can dodge the wall on the way.
