Engine serial # can be found on a vertical tab (surface) that's to the right and down a bit from the fan.

A type 901/03 is a '69 911T engine, 110 hp @ 5,800 rpm, 116 ft-lbs @ 4,200 rpm, 8.6:1, Weber 40IDTP carbs, cast-iron cylinders, and probably a Marelli dizzy.
