We are headed to Knoxville, to see a friend, then south one hour to the centerline of the (spooky voice effect) "Path of Totality" I had to replace my uncertified glasses with official NASA glasses because Amazon sent a letter and refund for selling "uncertified" glasses. Maybe I'll bring a cardboard box, like we used when I was in elementary school...

I'm using field glasses and a tripod to project onto a sheet of white paper.

You'll be in my neighborhood. Be aware that I-75 will be a mess Monday. If you run out of options you would be welcome in my yard, I got 2+ acres on a hillside, for that matter,any Dorki is welcome if your in the area. I live in Niota Tennessee about 100 yards off dead center of the totally. My home is about 1.5 miles off I 75.

Spending this week on Ocracoke island with the kiddos then driving down to Orangeburg SC late Saturday. Kicking back at a hotel I booked long ago and at a nearby lake for a day. The lake is right near 95 so we can head into the the expected fuster cluck asap and hopefully get in front of the wave. Will be dead center of the totality line.

This will be my second total. First was in Curacao and it was very cool. Took a nice dive on a reef. Came up to a nice picnic on the beach with an eclipse for entertainment and then back in for another dive. A great way to kill a day.

Niota is where we were going to view the eclipse! We are staying with a HS friend, then driving down for the day! Wow, Dorki's everywhere! If we can make it I will call. Tim
